I saw the cards on the home page and the King of Hearts (Nolan) quick glance looked like Viggo!

I only have a couple of ideas for the actors/actresses for the movie.
Hatter: David Tennant Arch: John Simm (no comments from the Whovian gallery, please. )Redd: Idina Menzel (sorry, I'm a Broadway nut) or Susan Sarandon Genevieve: Anne Hathaway I respect those who have come up with entire cast lists because my mind is drawing a blank right now on Alyss, Dodge, and almost everybody else. I guess I'm just too picky or something. Note to self- do not become a casting director.

) and i'm happy you didn't choose an overly sculpted young actor (I'm not saying everyone did.... actually, I don't even know what I'm saying). What I do know what I'm saying is this: HOORAY I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE COMMENTING ON THIS PORTION OF THE FORUMS NOW!!! Today, we went to see "Breaking Up is Hard to Do" and omg.......... amazing hot guy who had to be stinking 37......... shoot. But, he was really good and with a little age, he could be a Hatter http://www.mbtheatre.com/20092010Sea...8/Default.aspx And, I'm sorry for breaking my promise (I promised I wouldn't recommend anyone for Molly since so many would want to be her), but Hit-Girl from Kick-Ass (Chloe Moretz) is a pretty good crime fighter... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1631269/

I think Tennant would make a good Nolan, too, but he just seems like a Hatter to me... I know he has kind of a maniac acting style, but it's just the manner he has when he's serious: it reminds me of Hatter.
Thanks....? I agree, a young guy shouldn't play Hatter- he's been on Earth 13 flippin years people!! And who's to say people in their late thirties/forties can't be hot, too? I've been thinking about Alyss, and so far I can only come up with who I DON'T want it to be. No personal offense to anyone, but I don't think it shouls be Miley Cyrus (bad reputation to many parents), or Kristen Stewart (I don't like her acting style- it sounds forced to me). These are just the top two two in a list of about ten. She's going to be a tricky part to cast: it needs to be someone people will tale seriously, but doesn't have a fat reputation trailing behind her. That's just my opinion. Somehow I always see Dodge as looking slightly like Hugh Dancy, but he's too old to play him. I am soooo not up on the guy actors, (guy authors, that's another story...) so please throw out some Dodge ideas. On a personal note, I would absolutely love to play either Redd or Molly myself- Molly just rocks and Redd would be hilarious and fun because I'm usually a docile person.

and Chloe Moretz would be good, she looks the part. EDIT: and I was thinking that Zooey Deschanel would be an amazing older Alyss.

In my mind Hatter's actor can't be any younger than 35. Hatter by the end of LGW is old enough to have a 13 year-old daughter, so I think he's about 42.
As for Dodge's actor, no younger than 19 no older than 25. Alyss no younger than 18, no older than 23 Molly no younger than 13 and no older 16. Redd: same rules as Hatter I heard that Alice in Wonderland the Tim Burton movie is a lot like LGW, did anyone see it and can anyone verify?

Here is a link that will take you to a thread about the movie:
http://www.lookingglasswars.com/foru...read.php?t=873 I've seen it, and I agree with Dragongirlj. I also agree with your standards for the ages of the actors, or at least, the apparent ages.
